Phil J. King

A bit about the man:

At the age of 16 Phil decided to teach himself guitar, and after what seemed like an eternity he managed to string together a few chords and started writing songs as this was easier than learning covers and this way no-one knew what he was getting wrong. After forming his first band "The Sick Puppets" and performing together for a few years, he moved-on to form a 3-piece band "Halfway House" where he inadvertently ended-up becoming lead-singer (as no-one else wanted to) as well as the sole guitarist. Together Halfway House wrote and recorded a number of songs, before deciding to go their separate ways and Phil stepped out as a solo artist. Since then he has been both finalist, and runner-up in the Bournemouth Unplugged competition, was voted Forest FM's breakthrough artist of the month, has appeared on numerous other radio shows (Hope FM, Farnborough Radio etc.), has written and recorded numerous home demos and has performed 100's of gigs playing a mixture of covers and original songs.
